The Journey

Artistic inspiration from global cultures has been a lifetime journey for Bernice Harmyk. As a world traveler, Bernice has been able to evolve artistically by immersing herself in the rich textures of foreign cultures.

The Technique
|
| Her early medium was oil on canvas, using impressionistic techniques. She also studied Chinese brush methods that gave depth and intensity to her abstract style. |

The Process
|
| Bernice begins a painting intuitively, working with inks, watercolors, acrylics and a wide variety of materials. She layers colors and textures on the surface of the painting and then creates markings into the work. |
